We will live with purpose every day // Serve with compassion // Focus on eternity // Pray first // See a need and meet it // Invest strategically // Love with our actions // Build a home for the lost, hurting and broken // We will do this with intention // One city at a time // One campus at a time // One prison at a time // One person at a time // We will see people come home

Missions Giving

Through our giving to international Missions efforts, we are helping spread the message of Jesus to the nations.

Highlands partnered with China Legacy to support 50 church planters that have planted 50 significant church plants in rural China.

Highlands gave toward the Typhoon Haiyan Relief, and through this 10,185 people made a decision for Christ in the Philippines.

In India, EQUIP supplied leadership curriculum that impacted 80,000 rural churches and communities in areas where the message of Christ has never been proclaimed before.

Highlands helped fund MountainChild’s National Anti-Trafficking Center in Kathmandu, Nepal, that reached 1,050 at-risk and trafficked women and children this year. This center is the central headquarters for more than 30 organizations and NGO’s that are dedicated to fighting the sex-trade industry of South Asia.

This year, One Hope reached the billionth child with God’s Word in China. she was a 13-year-old girl named Chunxue.

We’ve supported Sat7 which broadcasts the Gospel and training programs for underground pastors and church planters across the entire Muslim world.

With the money Highlands provided, Map 1040 was able to give 5 motorcycles to missionaries and pastors in Northern India, an area where many have never heard the name of Jesus.

Growth and Expansion

Highlands Chapel

The Highlands Chapel will open for services in January 2015. This beautiful, state-of-the-art facility located on the Grants Mill campus will be the home of a more traditional worship experience, weddings, funerals and memorial services.

Tuscaloosa building project

We have broken ground in Tuscaloosa where a new building for our Tuscaloosa campus will open in early 2016. This space will allow the Tuscaloosa campus to grow and expand its impact for Jesus in our state.

Opelika campus

In February 2015, Highlands will open its eleventh location in the city of Opelika. This campus will meet in the Opelika Sportsplex and Aquatic Center and have two Sunday morning services. We are currently building the launch team and preparing for this new opportunity to reach the people of Opelika with the life-giving message of Christ.

Be Part of the Legacy

Pray

Pray for our local, national and international efforts to be maximized to reach as many people as possible, and for God to transform people’s lives one patient, prisoner and person at a time.

Give

Follow God as He speaks to you about giving beyond your tithe to our Legacy efforts. Our impact in God’s Kingdom multiplies as each individual commits to give according to God’s calling. A simple way to give wherever you are is online at churchofthehighlands.com/give/legacy.

Go

Put your faith into action. Serve locally in a small group or outreach effort. Perform simple acts of kindness daily. Join the Dream Team. Go on a mission trip. Find opportunities to get involved at churchofthehighlands.com/missions and churchofthehighlands.com/serve.
